Wrestler's Real Name: Duke Oxley

Wrestler Age/Date of Birth: 33 10/31/1993

Height: 5'10

Weight: 200

Hometown: Harper's Ferry, WV

Alignment (Face? Heel? Antihero?): I like the word anti-hero...he will always do what is necessary to make sure he gets what he wants.

Pic Base: Hank III (preferably him with his long hair look)

Backstory/Important Character Details: Duke Oxley comes from a place where dreams don’t usually make it out alive; small, hard-working town where most people settle for what they’re given and call it a life. Duke never accepted that. From a young age, he stood out, not because he was the most talented or the most liked, but because he refused to quit when things got hard. Raised by a father who believed the world doesn’t hand out favors, Duke learned early that if you want something, you go and take it. That mindset shaped everything about him. He grew up in tough situations, getting into fights, standing his ground, and learning how to survive. He wasn’t always right, and he wasn’t always fair, but he was always determined. Wrestling started as an outlet, a place to channel his frustration and prove something to himself. But it quickly became more than that. Inside the ring, Duke found clarity. There were no excuses, no politics, just winners and losers. And losing was never something he could accept. Wrestling became his way out, his way to build something bigger than the life he came from. As a competitor, Duke Oxley walks a fine line between doing what’s right and doing what’s necessary. He doesn’t see himself as a villain, but he’s not interested in being a hero either. If following the rules gets him ahead, he’ll follow them. If bending them gives him the edge, he won’t hesitate. To Duke, respect isn’t something you’re given for playing nice, it’s something you earn by proving you belong, no matter how you have to do it. That attitude makes him unpredictable. One night, he might fight with grit and honor, earning the crowd’s respect. The next, he might take a shortcut that leaves people questioning him. But in Duke’s mind, it all serves the same purpose, winning and making sure he’s never overlooked again. Beneath his rough, no-nonsense exterior, there’s a deeper drive. Duke carries the weight of his upbringing everywhere he goes. He remembers what it felt like to be stuck, to be underestimated, to watch others give up. That’s what fuels him. Every match is a chance to prove that he’s more than where he came from, that he refused to become just another forgotten name. Duke Oxley isn’t chasing approval, and he’s not trying to inspire anyone. He’s chasing success on his own terms. He fights for himself, for the life he knows he deserves, and for the simple fact that he refuses to lose, not just in the ring, but in life.
At the end of the day, Duke doesn’t care how he’s seen.  He just cares that he wins.

Strengths: 1. Ruthless Grit(willing to cross lines others won’t. He doesn’t hesitate when an opportunity presents itself, even if it means taking a shortcut. That killer instinct can be the difference in big moments.)

2. Unpredictable(He is gonna keep em' guessing. One minute he could wrestle clean and next minute, he could wrestle full on heel)

Weaknesses: 1. Stubbornness (Duke’s biggest strength is also his biggest flaw. He refuses to back down, even when he should. That can lead him into unnecessary damage or losses he could’ve avoided.)

2. Emotional Triggers (Deep down, he still carries that chip on his shoulder from being overlooked. If someone disrespects him or doubts him, he can get reckless trying to prove a point.)

3. Questionable Reputation (Fans and other wrestlers never fully trust him. Even when he does the right thing, people expect him to take the easy way out. That can work against him in key moments when credibility matters.)

Entrance Theme Music (Provide YouTube link as well as name and version):

Ring Entrance (PLEASE write one out for use in match/show writing): The arena lights drop low, not completely dark, just dim enough to shift the mood. As the opening of “The Wolf”  by Whiskey Myers hits, there’s no flashy pyro, no over-the-top graphics. Just a slow burn. A single warm spotlight hits the stage. Duke Oxley steps out from the back, head slightly down, jaw set, wearing a worn sleeveless denim jacket. He pauses for a second at the top of the stage, not playing to the crowd, not soaking anything in, just taking a breath like a man about to go to work. Then he looks up. Not at the fans but straight down the ring. That’s his target. He starts walking slow, steady, deliberate. No bounce, no wasted movement. Every step feels heavy, like he’s dragging his past with him but refusing to let it slow him down.
Fans reach out, some cheering, some unsure. Duke barely acknowledges them. Maybe once in a while he’ll slap a hand but only if it’s on his side. If someone jaw-jacks him or gets too close, he’ll stop, stare them down for a second just long enough to make it uncomfortable… then keep walking. About halfway down the ramp, he rolls his shoulders, loosening up like he’s about to throw hands in a bar fight. When he reaches ringside, he doesn’t go straight in. He walks around the ring once. Eyes locked on his opponent the entire time. If the opponent is already in the ring, Duke might smirk slightly or just shake his head like he’s already unimpressed. If they try to talk trash, he ignores it… or gives a cold, dismissive look. When he gets to the steps, he stops again. Wipes his boots on the apron. Small detail but it shows respect for the ring, even if he doesn’t respect the rules. He steps up onto the apron, grabs the top rope, and pauses one more time looking out at the crowd now. Not for approval… but almost like he’s daring them to doubt him. Then he steps through the ropes. No posing on the turnbuckles. No big gestures. He walks to the center of the ring, slowly turns in a full circle, cracking his neck side to side. If the timing hits right with the song, he might finally raise one arm slightly, not a celebration, more like a signal: I’m here. Then he backs into his corner, leaning against the ropes, eyes never leaving his opponent.

Favorite Hardcore Attacks/Spots: 1. Duke traps his opponent in the corner with a steel chair wedged in front of them and just unloads—punches, elbows, even headbutts, driving the chair into their body with every strike.

2. Duke hoists his opponent up and powerbombs them through a table but instead of clean form, it’s rough and slightly off-center, like he’s just trying to drive them through the earth.

3. Stacks chairs or a trash can, lifts his opponent, and drops them hard with The Mothman Conspiracy onto the pile.
