It’s been exactly one month since Jenny Myst and I challenged you and your little boyfriend for the tag team titles. It’s been since September of last year that you two properly defended it. I thought I would have to do something wild like put my mask on the line to get a match with the great Sebastian Everett-Bryce. This one isn’t for a title, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t important. The Trillionaires wanted blood. They saw fit to do it in my playground, in a match I’ve only lost once in. My rules, my battleground and yet still, I’m not the odds on favourite. No matter. It suits me. I love nothing more than defying the odds. I literally just did it in UGWC when I won this.”

The Director lifts the UGWC Conquest championship and drapes it over his shoulder. Clad in his usual black suit and mask, he admires his newly won championship.

“You’re familiar with this one, right? You won it in 2024. You managed zero successful defenses. How embarrassing! But now you’re the World champion in the Coalition, one-half of the XWF Tag Team champions too. Look at you, so accomplished. Former Universal champion, winner of last year’s Leap of Faith and holder of the 24/7 briefcase. Honestly, what is your plan for it? Dolly Waters was still champion when you won it and you told her you would be honorable. When you cashed in, it wouldn’t be a surprise. How noble of you, SEB. My plan? Challenge you for and take your Tag Team titles along with Jenny at March Madness, then complete five defenses of this Conquest championship so I can cash in and take your UGWC World championship. I will take everything from you, probably before you even attempt to cash in for the Universal championship too. You know what I think? I think you’re scared to cash in. You’re hoping someone manages to defeat Kieran King in the March Madness tournament because despite being top dog in other places, you know the pecking order here. On a good day, you’re number three or four and you have never beaten Kieran King. What’s a King to an Emperor? A bettor, apparently. You’ve never faced the likes of me either.”

“Do you even want a singles career in the XWF anymore? You lost in the first round of March Madness, to Scoops McGee of all people. You were eliminated first after Yelena Gorgo kicked you so hard you couldn’t get up. It’s like there are two versions of you, the dominant one outside of the XWF, whom people rightly fear and the distorted funhouse mirror image in the XWF, who can’t seem to string two wins together, unless his precious tag team title is on the line. It’s pathetic, honestly. I think you’ve lost your way a bit. You may not realize it, but you are part of the reason I returned to wrestling after thirteen years. You’ve no idea how similar we are. Your entrance music? Rich kid? Check. Asshole? Guilty. Painted like a villain? Absolutely. I was doing my thing here before you even got into this business and then I had to leave. I had other obligations. I left and I had to watch you accomplish everything I wanted and more. What’s worse is you are taking it all for granted. The tag titles deserve better than you and King bickering over who’s better, even though you’ve clearly proven it more than once.”

“You beat him in War Games. You earned the right to have sole ownership of the titles. You had no plan to find a new partner you actually liked. You didn’t want to burden your BFF and former Cooperative partner Lucy or any of your old allies. Hell, you could have called Ned Kaye up, but your ego said you could defend the title alone, against Scoops and Dickie. You didn’t even win the match, but you retained anyway. You survived a solo defense with help from Isaiah, of course. But you’re all about fairness and for the millionth time, you faced Isaiah King for sole ownership of the titles. Then what did you do? You won and you still gave the little Princess the other belt. Why was that? Was it pity? Respect? Or did you just realize you don’t have any more friends to turn to and you’ll just settle for keeping your enemies closer?”

“Facing you was always part of the plan, Sebastian. You didn’t think I really just wanted to tag along with XXXVI forever, did you? Some will say it’s not personal, just business, but for me this could not be more personal. You don’t know me, Sebastian, but I know you. Soon, you will see why I needed this match. For now, we have fun in Dubai in the Director’s Cut™ match. Yes, my idea of fun is barbed wire and traps everywhere. It’s time to put on a show!”
