I don't think people are as annoyed about the lack of results as they are the lack of updates on why there are a lack of results.

Real life happens, we all get that. In the future I would just suggest letting a GM or Admin know when something like this happens and I bet they would band together to finish the show up for you so that you can focus on what you need to and people aren't left wondering what is going on with a show they roleplayed for.
